Cooking Instructions
For Savory Vermicelli Upma:
- Boil 1 cup of Wheat Vermicelli in 3 cups of water for 3-4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, chopped onions, and green chilies. Sauté until golden brown.
- Add vegetables like carrots, peas, and beans. Cook until tender.
- Mix the cooked vermicelli into the vegetables, season with salt, and stir well.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and a dash of lemon juice. Serve hot.
For Sweet Vermicelli Kheer:
- Roast 1 cup of Wheat Vermicelli in ghee until golden brown.
- Boil 2 cups of milk and add the roasted vermicelli. Cook until soft.
- Add ½ cup of sugar or jaggery and a pinch of cardamom powder. Stir well.
